- Eric’s recently signed co-production, marketing and distribution deal with For Your Imagination. Congratulations to both Eric and FYI.
- Events: John and Eric attended Jeff Pulver’s Social Media Breakfast in NYC at the Reuters building; Chia-Lin spoke at the Spring VON show in San Jose; John and Eric will be attending Podcamp NYC on April 25th and 26th at Brooklyn Polytechnic University.
- Chia-Lin’s having a baby! A girl, due mid-May. Congratulations to her and her husband, Chris.
- Apple has surpassed Wal-Mart as the number one music retailer in the United States with over 50 million customers and 4 billion songs sold. On their heels are new services from MySpace and LimeWire, adding to the services from Amazon, eMusic, SpiralFrog and others.
- Google’s Chief Information Officer has left to head EMI Digital. Chia-Lin predicts he’ll be gone in 18 months. Ouch. Elvis Costello’s new album entitled Momofuku
- Online and Mobile ad spending reached $29 Billion in 2007. Given the ubiquity of mobile phone penetration and the rising popularity of smartphones, does it matter if those numbers are bundled?
- Eric talks about the nascent sponsorship program for his IPTV shows
- Microsoft may develop a version of Office for the iPhone
